About
About Siobhán Garrett
I founded Healing Young Hearts because I believe every school and organisation should be a place where children feel safe enough to learn — and where the adults around them feel supported enough to lead with compassion.
My name is Siobhán Garrett. I'm a therapeutic education consultant, trainer and former school leader with more than twenty years' experience across education, leadership and therapeutic practice. I work with schools, colleges, local authorities and organisations across the UK and Ireland to support sustainable implementation of trauma-informed and relational approaches at both strategic and practical levels.
My practice is rooted in a simple belief: emotionally safe relationships are at the heart of wellbeing, learning and resilience. Children don't learn when they don't feel safe. Staff can't sustain relational practice when they themselves feel unsupported. Systems can't change without cultures that value reflection, connection and belonging.

“I am currently undertaking postgraduate study and research in psychology, trauma and child and adolescent mental health at University College London (UCL), in partnership with Anna Freud — deepening the evidence base that underpins everything I do.
